A U.K. High Court judge has dismissed an application from South Korea to set aside an arbitration award exceeding $100 million against the country.
The award was made in June 2023 in favour of Elliott Associates, a Florida-based investment manager. The award related to a dispute over an $8 billion merger of two Samsung affiliates in 2015.
