Genetic testing firm Myriad Genetics has tapped scientist and veteran biopharma lawyer Jennifer Fox to be its legal chief starting in September, the company announced Wednesday.
Fox comes from Emergent Biosolutions, a Maryland-based biotech that develops vaccines and antibody therapeutics to treat opioid overdoses and infectious diseases. She started out her career as a staff scientist at the National Institutes of Health studying the process by which cells control the creation of specific proteins called cytochrome P450 enzymes, which help break down drugs, toxins, and other substances in the body.
