The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission this week launched what it calls a multiyear initiative to reach vulnerable workers and underserved communities and ensure they know their federal rights against workplace discrimination.
“As the daughter of immigrants, I know what is possible in this great country, and that it is due in no small part to our nation’s deep commitment to equal opportunity,” EEOC Commissioner Kalpana Kotagal, whose parents immigrated from India, said in a statement.
