Weil, Gotshal & Manges has hired U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission veteran Christopher Mulligan as a partner in its private funds practice based in Washington, D.C., with Sidley Austin and Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck also making fresh hires in the Capital region over the past week.
Mulligan was at the SEC for more than a decade, most recently serving as investment adviser/private funds senior adviser and co-coordinator of the agency’s private funds specialized working group. At Weil, Mulligan will advise private fund adviser clients in a range of compliance and regulatory issues impacting private funds, including SEC examinations.
