A couple’s lawsuit against the NBA’s Utah Jazz and then-Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook was dismissed again this week after the Utah Court of Appeals affirmed that both the team and Westbrook did not defame or inflict emotional distress against the couple in the aftermath of a courtside spat between them and Westbrook.
The couple, Shane Keisel and Jennifer Huff, attended a March 2019 basketball game where the Utah Jazz played at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Keisel regularly attended games and sat in a seat his employer provided located about three rows from the opposing team’s bench.
