A recent report has found that class actions on behalf of 540 million U.K. members have been issued between 2015 and 2023—equivalent to just over eight actions for every individual.
The research by law firm CMS found that, as of the end of 2023, the total claimed value of class actions in the U.K.—including opt-in and opt-out—was in the area of €145 billion.
