A state appellate court in South Florida reversed a more than $2.5 million verdict that a jury initially returned in favor of an ex-doctor at a Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center branch, and teed up a hearing on attorney fees that the prevailing party said could climb into the seven figures.
Eric Isicoff and Teresa Ragatz, partners at Isicoff Ragatz in Miami, represent the cross-appellants, the University of Miami and the University of Miami Hospital, which has since become a branch of Sylvester, against the cross-appellee, Dr. Fahed Fayad.
