Lawyer head count grew by 2.1% overall in 2023 at the 100 firms with the most lawyers in Texas, with midsize Texas firms and out-of-state firms with Texas offices accounting for much of that growth.
Meanwhile, as firms look nationally and globally for expansion, many of the large firms founded in Texas reduced their lawyer head counts in 2023 in the Lone Star State, while often adding lawyers elsewhere in the U.S. and internationally.
