Spotify was hit with a consumer class action over its decision to no longer support functionality for its product Car Thing, a device launched in 2021 which connects to car dashboards and auxiliary outlets so drivers can listen to and navigate Spotify.

Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips Grossman filed the May 28 class action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on behalf of plaintiffs Hamza Mazumder, Anthony Bracarello and Luke Martin. The firm is an active player in the consumer class action space. In this year alone the firm sued Kraft over alleged metal in Lunchables, AT&T over alleged data breach violations, Starbucks over its pricing of nondairy milk and Prime Hydration over its caffeine content.
