Slaughter and May and Clifford Chance have won the lead roles on Nationwide’s £2.9 billion cash offer of banking group Virgin Money.
Nationwide and Virgin Money issued a joint statement on Thursday confirming Nationwide’s offer of 220 pence a share, including a proposed dividend of 2 pence per share, in total valuing Virgin Money at approximately £2.9 billion.
