Singapore’s Transport Minister Subramaniam Iswaran was charged on January 18 with 27 counts of bribery and corruption, prompting him to resign from his post.
The prosecution team, led by Chief Prosecutor Tan Kiat Pheng, includes two Deputy Public Prosecutors, Ke Yue Jiang and Kelvin Chong. They have charged Iswaran with 27 counts in total, 24 of which involve “obtaining gratification” as a public servant. Two of the charges are based on corruption and one relates to obstructing the course of justice.
