The measure would also allow the judicial misconduct watchdog, up to 120 days to continue investigating complaints against judges who have resigned or retired while under scrutiny.

Public interest groups on Tuesday amplified their call for passage of a New York bill that aims to leave the state Commission on Judicial Conduct’s budget unchanged by the executive branch as it makes its way to the Legislature.

The support letter was for S4398/A4908, which would also allow the judicial misconduct watchdog up to 120 days to continue investigating complaints against judges who have resigned or retired while under scrutiny.
