Roughly a year after new EU legislation on group litigation entered into force, collective actions have reached an all-time high in Europe, according to a new report from U.K. firm CMS.
According to the report, 133 claims were filed in the EU and the U.K. in 2023, the highest number to date, with the Netherlands, Germany and Portugal recording most of the growth in mass litigation claims.
