In a case before the Broward Circuit Court, Alan Fine, a special magistrate judge, recommended that the plaintiff, Patricia Bailey-Entin, be hit with thousands of dollars in sanctions.
Jordan Shaw, a partner at Zebersky Payne in Miami, represents the defendants, Empire Legal Support Inc. and owner Thomas Fallarino, in a battle between two mid-sized court reporting firms after a merger gone bad. Shaw said that Bailey-Entin has been “dodging depositions” and was referred to Fine.
