A company that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to help innovators, IP analysts and lawyers sort through global patents has hired its first general counsel—from another AI-driven firm.
Eric Topel joined Patsnap this month from Nevada-based Socure, which makes use of AI in its digital identification verification and fraud-prevention platform. Topel had been with Socure since April 2022.
