More than two dozen judicial nominations were expected to be confirmed by the New York State Senate, including Judge Laura Ward, a longtime Manhattan jurist under scrutiny by the progressive group, the Center for Community Alternatives.
The Senate Judiciary Committee advanced all 25 nominees of Gov. Kathy Hochul, with the body interviewing them for nearly three hours on Wednesday.
