- Gov. Gregg Abbott announced the appointment of four judges to preside over new business courts in Houston and San Antonio.
- Earlier this week, Abbott announced the appoint of six judges for the business courts of Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin.
- Each court will have two judges and the courts are to begin operating Sept. 1.
Gov. Greg Abbott announced judicial appointments Friday and late Thursday to the new complex civil litigation business courts, set to open Sept. 1 in Houston and San Antonio.
In addition to previously reported appointments, this completes the appointment process for the five regional business courts that were created in 2023 through House Bill 19.
