A Florida state court judge declared a mistrial in the first ovarian cancer trial involving Johnson & Johnson’s baby powder since its failed talc bankruptcies.
The mistrial comes after nearly two days of deliberations. On Tuesday, the jury sent a note to Miami-Dade Circuit Judge William Thomas that said: “We are hopelessly deadlocked with absolutely, positively, no way to resolve it,” according to Courtroom View Network’s live stream of the trial.
