Media giants The McClatchy Company and Gannett have filed a joint copyright claim against an Alabama publisher they allege took materials from a proposed book about Kansas State football to create and sell the book itself.
McClatchy, Gannett and Jeffery Grantham, who operated a weekly newspaper covering Kansas State sports in the 1990s, filed the complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. It alleges that EBSCO Information Services was not authorized to publish images and stories belonging to the three news organizations.
