AffiniPay: On Wednesday, private equity firms Genstar Capital and TA Associates announced that they agreed to make a “significant investment” in online payments and software solutions provider AffiniPay, the parent company for a number of legal tech products, including practice management platform MyCase and legal payment solution LawPay, among others. As part of the transaction, Apax Partners, which owned a minority stake in AffiniPay, will “fully exit their investment,” according to a news release. AffiniPay CEO Dru Armstrong noted in that release that the new investment from Genstar and TA will allow the company “to continue investing in our practice management software and embedded financial services platform for professionals.”
