AAA, Stanford Law: On Aug. 6, the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and its international arm, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), announced that Stanford Law school and the CodeX, The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, will host a new “Future Dispute Resolution” conference at CodeX on September 5. The conference is co-sponsored by the AAA, the IDCR, legal tech developer System.Legal and International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), and specifically hosted by Stanford Law’s Martin Daniel Gould Center for Conflict Resolution and its Deborah L. Rhode Center on the Legal Profession. The Future Dispute Resolution conference will look at how advanced technology, such as generative AI, can change dispute resolution and the current efforts focused on modernizing online dispute resolution (ODR) and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods.
