Florida Supreme Court justices clashed Thursday in a ruling in which they rejected a disciplinary stipulation. They remanded the case involving a county judge, because the stipulation was based in part on a legally incorrect reading of the Code of Judicial Conduct.
“We cannot overlook a legal error like this just because both parties agreed to it,” the state Supreme Court majority ruled.
