A federal judge in Pennsylvania denied a HersheyPark shop’s motion to dismiss a racial discrimination suit, concluding the plaintiffs sufficiently established their claims for racial discrimination, retaliation, and interference with a contract by purchasing tickets for admission.
In an April 1 decision, U.S. Magistrate Judge Daryl F. Bloom of the Middle District of Pennsylvania concluded that the claims made by the plaintiffs, Kijuame Taft, Meiya Pender and Rahshema Council, of racial discrimination survived Kaman’s Art Shoppes’ motion to dismiss, finding their claims were adequately pleaded.
