Insurers Rally to Challenge Regulator: DoL Fiduciary Rule on Retirement Plans Opposed

A coalition of national and regional insurance and financial advisor associations is challenging a U.S. Department of Labor rule they claim would disrupt the retirement annuities marketplace.

In a recent filing in a Northern District of Texas federal court, the American Council of Life Insurers, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and related associations sued the Labor Department.
