Holland & Knight Settles Lawsuit From NY Recruiter Alleging the Firm Didn’t Pay Fees

Back in November, Holland & Knight was hit with a lawsuit alleging that the firm neglected to pay more than $73,000 in fees owed to New York-based recruiter MacKay & Agents. Now months later, Holland & Knight settled the lawsuit in court.

Just more than a year ago, MacKay & Agents claimed it helped the Am Law 100 firm locate an associate from White & Case for its Miami office. The associate, Patricia Garcia-Linares, was hired in August and still works at Holland & Knight. But the law firm denied being helped by MacKay & Agents after the recruiter approached the law firm with owed fees.
