After receiving the surprising diagnosis that I needed total hip replacement surgery, I spent weeks down the medical research rabbit hole, as I’m guessing many of you would do. I discovered how far medical technology has come in the last 30 years.
Frankly, I started my research journey from a place of apprehension: I watched my father suffer tremendously from his hip replacement years ago (he walked with a limp and experienced pain for the rest of his life). Like practically every other aspect of our world, technology has infiltrated medicine and made it better. Significantly better. I’m now several weeks post-surgery and can already walk without pain.
