The Connecticut Supreme Court weighed in for the first time on ex parte communications with expert witnesses.

A trial court sanctioned plaintiffs attorneys for ex parte communications with the defendant’s expert witness that led to the witness changing his opinion. But the high court said this was not a clear violation of the expert discovery rules laid out in Practice Book §13-4.
