The estate of a laborer who died after falling off the roof of a building under construction agreed to a $3.9 million settlement of its Hudson County suit on Dec. 20.
Iosvany Herrero, 44, was installing air conditioning units on the roof of an apartment building under construction in Paterson on Nov. 23, 2016, when he fell 40 feet to the ground, according to Barry Eichen of Eichen Crutchlow Zaslow in Edison, who represented Herrero’s estate and his widow, Yaneisy Diaz.
