Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton has guided LATAM Airlines through an unusual re-listing on the New York Stock Exchange after having helped the South American carrier reorganize under Chapter 11 protection in the United States.
The voluntary restructuring, which was prompted by airport shutdowns early in the COVID-19 pandemic, concluded in November 2022 with equity investors Delta Air Lines, Qatar Airways and the Cueto family still on board alongside new shareholders like Sixth Street, Strategic Value Partners and Sculptor Capital Management.
