One week after the Henry County Board of Elections and Voter Registrations eliminated the sole challenger in the May 21 county race for state court judge, the Daily Report has learned the basis for Jonesboro attorney Loletha Hale’s disqualification.
An issue with the candidate’s $3,477.34 qualifying fees led election board members to disqualify Hale from challenging appointed incumbent Henry County State Court Judge Stephen N. Knights Jr. at the polls in the upcoming nonpartisan primary election.
