After months of losing lawyers, Boston-based midsize firm Burns & Levinson is losing another five-lawyer team to Verrill.
Peter Durning is joining Verrill as a partner while John Shea, Thomas Mackie, Gail Magenau Hire and Peter Vetere join as counsel. The team is departing Burns & Levinson, which has seen a mass exodus in recent months. The slate of departures began in April, when a team of automotive partners left for ArentFox Schiff. The departures have since piled up to include at least 40 lawyers.
