Eric Schwartzman, a private equity partner at Latham & Watkins for the last four-plus years, has decamped for Baker McKenzie, where he will head that firm’s California private equity practice out of San Francisco.
Baker McKenzie already has about 30 private equity attorneys in the Bay Area, and the firm says it will continue to grow. With Schwartzman’s arrival, said Leif King, head of Baker McKenzie’s California transactional group, “we are going to build a full-sized PE practice in California.”
