Mayer Brown corporate mergers and acquisitions and energy projects partner Rebecca Seidl has joined Baker Botts as a corporate department partner in Houston and leader of the firm’s critical minerals and metals subsector, as firms in Texas continue to hire lawyers working in the energy sector.
Seidl, who joined Baker Botts on Friday, had practiced at Mayer Brown since 2018. Before that, she worked for nearly four years in-house at BHP in Houston on petroleum projects, and in Santiago, Chile, on infrastructure development projects and joint ventures in Chile, Peru and the U.S., including mining and desalination projects.
