The University of Delaware has been hit with a reverse discrimination suit by a former operations director who claims he was fired because he is white.

The plaintiff, Jason Gardner, says he was dismissed after a selection committee that he chaired hired another white male to fill a vacancy in his department. When he was dismissed, Gardner says, his department director, Kelvin Lee, told him that “the optics of a white male hiring another white male do not look good for UD.”
