Teresa Carr, a 43-year-old New Brunswick resident, received a $2.25 million award following a two-day arbitration hearing for her slip and fall on ice as she was entering her workplace at Monarch Electric Co. in Cranbury.

Daniel Epstein and Salomao Nascimento of Epstein Ostrove in Edison served as counsel to the plaintiff in Carr v. 1250 So. River Rd., filed in Middlesex County Superior Court. As a result of her fall on March 8, 2018, Carr alleged that she had pain in her waist and upper and lower back, which led to her having lumbar spine decompression surgery, according to her attorneys.
