Goodwin Procter weathered a difficult deal environment, January 2023 layoffs and a leadership transition to see top-line growth last year, ticking revenue up by 1.5% to $2.24 billion.
But the environmental factors still made an impact. Goodwin, while growing its partnership, saw average profits per equity partner drop by 6.2% to $3.24 million. The firm’s revenue per lawyer fell 5.6% to $1.28 million, amid growth in total lawyer head count.
