The European Commission has hit Apple with a €1.84 billion fine, the third-largest EU antitrust fine in history.
The fine concludes a four-year investigation centered on the impact of Apple’s App Store practices on competition in music streaming, an investigation that was partly launched in response to a 2019 complaint by Spotify, a Swedish rival of Apple Music.
