A coalition of 23 state attorneys general, led by New York, on Wednesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to lift a Louisiana federal court judge’s injunction that effectively prevents the federal government and social media companies from exchanging information about content on their platforms, content the attorneys general deem harmful.
The pending SCOTUS case, Murthy v. Missouri, involves the First Amendment, the federal government and social media, and the attorneys general filed an amicus brief that stood in support of government agencies and officials that are subject to the injunction.
