The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Friday revived a photographer’s free speech lawsuit against a New York antidiscrimination law that requires her to shoot same-sex weddings.
Judge Allison Nathan, writing for the panel, said photographer Emilee Carpenter’s claim that the law compels her to speak against her beliefs can go forward in light of the U.S. Supreme Court 303 Creative v. Elenis decision last year.
