A prominent litigator on New York’s cannabis board expressed concern about the state having to defend against “a tidal wave” of lawsuits, dampening news from marijuana regulators that suggests recent progress within the legalized industry.
The Office of Cannabis Management has been a named defendant in at least 15 lawsuits in state courts since January, according to the state’s online filing database.
