After securing the majority countywide vote in the June 18 runoff election, Judge-elect Lauren Wallace is preparing to transition from serving as Douglas County Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney to serving constituents on the Superior Court bench.
Wallace will replace retiring Douglas Judicial Circuit Chief Judge William “Beau” McClain after his term expires on Dec. 31. But before the prosecutor-turned-jurist takes office in January, she’s giving judicial colleagues, lawyers and litigants a preview of what they can expect from her as a judge.
