A Houston-based crude oil pipeline company lost a dispute in Mississippi federal court over whether it should pay a crossing fee on two pipelines that run through the state.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit on Wednesday affirmed the lower court’s dismissal of a lawsuit brought by Mid Valley Pipeline Co. LLC against the Board of Mississippi Levee Commissioners.
