A divided Connecticut Supreme Court rejected a challenge to an arbitration award that reinstated an employee who was alleged to have refused for hours, while armed, to leave his home and cooperate with police after a domestic altercation with his wife.
But the resolution of that case meant that the award had to stand, a majority of the high court said.
