Deloitte Legal is expanding into new areas of the law after a strategy reset but is not planning to compete with traditional law firms and has no plans to abandon Hong Kong, the firm’s leader for the Asia Pacific and Australia said.
James Fabijancic said the Big Four accounting firm has added data and technology, employment law, climate change and contracting to its legal services offering. At the same time, it plans to bolster its established legal services disciplines of tax controversy and corporate and commercial law.
