The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has agreed to rehear a case regarding whether Hawaii’s ban on butterfly knives is illegal under the Second Amendment.
In a Feb. 22 order, the panel vacated its previous decision that the state’s ban on butterfly knives facially constituted “arms,” and at the time of the adoption of the amendment, “arms” generally extended to bladed weapons.
