Two South Florida law firms and an attorney have been slapped with a malpractice lawsuit over their alleged failure to file a wrongful death lawsuit within the two-year statute of limitations.
Robert Rubin, a solo practitioner based in Boca Raton—who represents the plaintiff, the estate of J.W. Jones, in the malpractice lawsuit against the defendants, Kogan & Disalvo, the Law Offices of Kenneth R. Segal, and its managing partner Kenneth R. Segal—said there is nothing wrong in taking a case and then passing on it.
