The lateral market for emerging companies and venture capital attorneys is heating up, with several firms over the last few weeks bringing on notable names as demand amongst early-stage companies picks up and more mature companies begin to see hints of a mergers and acquisitions rebound.

Against the backdrop of uncertain overall economic conditions, Am Law 100 firms Blank Rome, Lowenstein Sandler, and New York midsize firm Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas have all announced emerging company and venture capital (ECVC) practice additions in recent weeks, while Sidley Austin brought new leadership to its venture capital fund formation practice.
