The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit ruled Monday that there was not enough evidence to support a Miami state court jury’s $300 million verdict in the case of TaxiNet Corp. against former Mexican politician and Key Biscayne resident Santiago Leon.

In doing so, the federal appellate court ordered a new trial to reconsider the basis of the unjust enrichment claim.
