A New York judge has declined to dismiss the indictment against Donald Trump following a hearing set to discuss allegations of discovery violations – and ruled the trial will commence on April 15.

During the hearing Monday to address alleged issues over records production, Acting Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan ruled he saw no reason to continue to delay trial, as prosecutors complied with their obligations and he saw no prejudice to the defense.
