A Houston-area immigration attorney resigned in lieu of discipline and eight other attorneys were suspended or received public reprimands, according to the June State Bar of Texas disciplinary report.

On April 16, the Supreme Court of Texas accepted the resignation in lieu of discipline of immigration attorney Michael Lake Mattson of The Woodlands. At the time of his resignation, there were four pending matters against Mattson alleging professional misconduct in the Dallas Regional Office.
